3. Information and Referral, MHANC:

What is Facebook?  It's a social network site, but more importantly it's where informal and the most current updates on MHANC will be most easily obtained.

Why Facebook, when I get your listserv emails?
Facebook allows you to receive short notifications with a links to the new information/documents that are posted to both the advocacy page of our website and to the facebook page itself.  Additionally, the policy page will be updated on a regular (semi-daily basis) so you will be kept in the loop on important mental health legislation as it moves through the legislative process. Finally, it's an open medium for your comments/thoughts on our postings or other topics related to mental health.

How do I get a Facebook Page? Go to http://www.facebook.com/, input some basic information (similiar to opening an email account) and poof!, you have a facebook account.  You can keep it as private or public as you like because Facebook has numerous privacy settings and options.

Happy Facebooking!
